About this home

Bask in natural light at this modern-rustic retreat, where soaring ceilings, skylights, and treetop views invite relaxation. Cozy up by the wood stove, cook in the chef’s kitchen, or stream movies on the projector. Enjoy Wi-Fi, laundry, and free parking. Nearby, explore farm-to-table dining, wineries, and scenic Hudson Valley trails. A perfect hideaway for artists, dreamers, and travelers seeking comfort, culture, and countryside charm.

Welcome to Hilltop Oasis, a one-of-a-kind retreat where rustic textures meet modern comfort in the heart of Old Chatham. Designed and cared for by artists and architects, this home radiates creativity and warmth, offering an inspiring escape for couples or solo travelers looking to recharge in the Hudson Valley.

Step inside and you’re immediately greeted by soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and a wall of skylights that bathe the main living space in natural light. The open-concept design brings together the living, dining, and kitchen areas into a seamless flow, perfect for both relaxing and entertaining. Oversized windows frame treetop views, creating a sense of connection with the outdoors at every turn.

The living area features a spacious sectional sofa, a projector with pull-down screen for streaming, and cozy details that make evenings in just as appealing as days spent exploring. The dining table, with seating for six, sits adjacent to the kitchen and invites long meals, creative work sessions, or late-night conversations.

The chef’s kitchen blends style and practicality with navy cabinetry, butcher block countertops, and a striking geometric backsplash. Fully stocked with cooking basics, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, coffee maker (Nespresso & automatic drip), and microwave. A central island with three barstools makes it as social as it is functional, while a nearby wood stove adds character and warmth to the space during cooler months.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom feels like a private sanctuary. A king bed rests beneath a skylight, offering the rare chance to stargaze without leaving your pillow. Operable windows allow in fresh country air and natural breezes to keep the space comfortable. The en-suite bathroom continues the spa-like feel, with a marble vanity, modern fixtures, and a step-in walk-in shower surrounded by natural light.

Downstairs, the second bedroom offers its own sense of privacy and comfort. The room already sits on its own dedicated floor, creating a naturally separate and quiet retreat. The space is cozy and welcoming, with plenty of room to unwind after a long day. Whether used as a guest room or a peaceful corner to relax, it provides a comfortable escape that still feels connected to the home’s warm, modern design.

Outdoor living is just as inviting. An oversized private deck, grassy backyard, and fire pit offer peaceful spaces for morning coffee, yoga, or an evening by the fire under the stars. Free on-site parking makes coming and going effortless, while super-fast Wi-Fi, laundry, and room to work from vacation add modern conveniences needed for a comfortable stay.

Located minutes from farm-to-table dining, wineries, breweries, and scenic trails, Hilltop Oasis is a destination in itself. Whether you’re here for inspiration, relaxation, or exploration, this hideaway offers a welcoming, light-filled haven designed to spark both comfort and creativity.

Guests have exclusive access to the home and grounds.
